physio tape
A physio tape (kinesio tape, muscle tape) is a type of highly elastic patch made of fabric. It is used to stabilize muscles, ligaments or joints in the event of injuries or inflammation without restricting mobility. The main task of the Physio-Tape is to activate and support the body's self-healing powers.
Its application, taping, emerged in the 1970s from kinesiology theory of movement and goes back to Kenzo Kase, a Japanese chiropractor who used stretchable bandages to treat aching joints and muscles.
The aim of treatment with Physio-Tapes is to activate and support the body's self-healing powers.
